Update: Star City was hit by a major fire on October 2, 2019, which burned down about 80% of the park. The management announced plans for rehabilitation in 2020. Stay tuned for announcements on its reopening.

Amongst the most popular hangout places in Metro Manila, Star City takes a spot as an option.
Star City is considered as one of the Philippines' pioneer theme parks. It was established in 1991 as an offshoot of the Toys and Gift Fair that was popular in the late 1970s to 1980s. Although it has been almost three decades since it's first opening, the park has expanded through the years and continues to delight millions of visitors.

Star City is 3.5 hectares in size, occupying the eastern part of the 88-hectare Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex. There are a total of 42 rides and attractions, of which 70% are covered and airconditioned. These are categorized into Family Rides, Kiddie Rides, Teen and Adult Rides, Extreme Rides, and Attractions.
Family Rides
Star City is home to a host of family rides - catering to both the young and the young at heart, slightly less adventurous but guaranteed to offer interactivity and fun. The choice of rides includes family roller coasters, carousels, aerial carousels, a track ride, a classic swing ride, and a Ferris wheel.
Kiddie Rides
Star City is a place for young thrill-seekers. It offers a fantastic array of rides that little ones can enjoy on their own or with the parents. They can take their pick from a playground, a miniature Ferris wheel, a train ride, a teacup ride, a loop track, and carousel rides.
Not in the photos are other kiddie rides such as the Frosty Train, the Kiddie Bump Car, and the Mini Pirate Ship.
Teen and Adult Rides
Theme parks are often thought of as places for children but Star City is no less exciting for teens and adults. It has rides, though not as extreme, that will appeal to this age group. The teen and adult rides include bumper rides, a caterpillar ride, a small tower ride, and a suspended ride.
Not in the photos are other teen and adult rides such as the Bumper Boat and the Jumping Star.
Extreme Rides
Of course, Star City offers heart-racing and adrenaline-pumping rides. Bold, adventurous, and fearless guests will surely enjoy the thrill rush from these extreme rides. They can take on a pendulum ride, a swinging pirate ship, a log boat ride, an inverted roller coaster, and a gondola ride.

Attractions
Complementing the rides, Star City provides a wide variety of stimulating attractions. Options include a water boat ride, a live show, a cold attraction, and several walk-through attractions.
Not in the photos are the Star Dome show and paid attractions like Snow World, Art Alive Museum, Adventure Zone, and Lazer Blaster.
Skill Games
Star City also offers a diverse selection of carnival skill games. Stationed throughout the park, these games challenge guests for a chance to take home prizes such as huge stuff toys and other memorabilia.

Read through the following park rules and regulations before your visit.
1. The theme park is open Mondays-Thursdays from 4:00PM to 10:30PM, Fridays from 2:00PM to 10:30PM, Saturdays from 2:00PM to 11:00PM, and Sundays from 2:00PM to 10:30PM.
2. Security checks will be conducted on all guests entering the park. All bags shall undergo inspection before entry.
3. Pets are not allowed inside the park.
4. Outside food and beverages except baby food items are not allowed to be brought inside the park.
5. During unfavorable weather conditions, the operation of certain rides may be suspended. No refunds will be provided due to inclement weather.
6. Safety warnings and notices are posted on every ride.
7. Each ride or attraction has associated risks, guests must carefully observe and evaluate if they can safely take it.
