The great thing about Manila Ocean Park is that it's an attraction for all ages. There is always something for every Juan, from adults to teens, and to the young ones.
But before your visit, check out some of these tips to help you maximize your day and find the fun as soon as you walk into the park.
Get There Early?
The usual advice given to get the most out of popular attractions and theme parks is to arrive early. Unless you bought the all-attraction pass, this advice does not apply to Manila Ocean Park. We arrived past noon but we were still able to enjoy and maximize our time in all the attractions we visited.
Here's our tip: As soon as you enter the park, grab a photo of the park map to know the locations of various attractions. Then ask for a snapshot of the show schedules and attraction hours so you can plan out your time inside.
Our itinerary:
Buy Tickets Ahead
You can buy tickets online via the Manila Ocean Park's website. This may save you time and avoid the long queues at the ticket counters. Discounted tickets can also be purchased through group buying sites such as Metro Deal. However, you still need to proceed to the on-site redemption booth to exchange your online or Metro Deal voucher to the wrist tag that will be worn while inside the park.
On the other hand, if you wish to avail of certain promos like the Ultimate Manila Splash Sale exclusive for Manila residents or the Birthday Splash for celebrants for the month, you need to purchase the tickets on-site since these promos require presentation of original and valid IDs.

Wear Good Shoes and Comfortable Clothes
Since the visit to the park can last for several hours, dressing comfortably is one of the most practical and smartest things to do.
Wear a good pair of walking shoes because there will be a lot of walking inside the park. Avoid footwear with no ankle support or shock absorption. Wearing the right kind of shoes can keep you from aching feet and back by the end of the day.
Wear lightweight and breathable apparel. As you'll be moving between attractions, the best types of clothes to wear are those that allow freedom of movement. No need to worry if you plan to visit Trails to Antarctica's Snow Village as they provide winter jackets for free.
Charge Your Phone
If you're not bringing a camera with you, make sure to start your visit with a fully-charged phone. This is because your phone is also your camera. Taking pictures and videos of the attractions and shows inside Manila Ocean Park can really drain your phone's battery.
Take Breaks
Make sure to pace your visit. Insert rest breaks and snack time in between. There are various food options inside the park - from waffles to dim sum to Pinoy street food.
Try Something New
A visit to Manila Ocean Park is about enjoying the marine life attractions but that doesn't mean you stick to the oceanarium. There are lots of other activities you can try in the park, so give these "try something new" experiences a go: Back of House Tour, Aquanaut Voyage, Sharks and Rays Swim Encounter, Mermaid Swim Experience, and Be A Sea Lion Trainer.
Have Fun
Manila Ocean Park is one of the most visited attractions in the country. Yet as cool and educational as it is, it can also be overwhelming - especially the crowds and the walking. But always remember that your visit is all about having fun with your loved ones. So enjoy the day out, take tons of beautiful photos, and just have fun!
