Getting Out of Bed for Breakfast at Okada Manila's Medley Buffet

Who doesn't love a delicious and hearty hotel breakfast? Certainly not the Two Juanderers and certainly not a lot of you. In fact, in a survey conducted by Google among travelers, breakfast is the hotel feature most look forward to every time. 

Whenever we travel or go on a staycation, we always make it a point to wake up early for the breakfast. Our second stay at Okada Manila was no different. As soon as we've rolled out of bed at around 6:00AM, we proceeded to Medley Buffet, the hotel's all-day dining restaurant. 

Our usual requirement for breakfast? It doesn't have to be fancy just whipped up fresh and delicious. But the breakfast buffet at Medley is not only delicious, it is fancy with a sumptuous and abundant spread. There is also an innovative open kitchen design showcasing a brigade of chefs preparing the food that adds a marvelous vibe to the morning meal.

The Assorted Cold Cuts, Charcuterie, and Condiments Station.
The Salad Station. There are many salad choices like Macaroni, Barley,
Russian, Apple, Kenya Beans, and Pineapple and Cucumber Salad.

Definitely a must in every breakfast buffet, the Egg Station. At Medley,
chefs promise the perfect egg whether fried, boiled, scrambled or poached.
The Assorted Bread and Native Pastry Sections. Bagels, Danishes, White Breads, and
Croissants are some of the freshly baked breads available here. For Filipino breakfast
delicacies there's the Pichi-Pichi, Cassava, Bibingka Latik, Suman, and Ube Halaya. 
The Filipino Station where local breakfast favorites are served like Tapa, Tocino,
Dilis, Bangus, Danggit and Champorado. There is even a Buko Station here.
The Dimsum and Chinese Station. Some things you'll find here are Congee, Hakao,
Siomai, Chicken Feet, Pork Spare Ribs, Vegetable Dumpling and Siopao.
Here's the Banchan spread at the Korean Corner. 
Kimchi, Bibimbap, Bulgogi, Japchae and Godeunggo-gui are Korean staples
that are sure to be part of Medley's extensive spread of Asian dishes.
There's also an Asian Noodle Section where there are wide varieties of noodles to
choose from. Some of these are the Egg, Hofan, Misua, Laksa and Sotanghon Noodles.
Of course you can't miss the Dessert Station. Seen here are selections of
Pana Cotta, Muesli, Yoghurt and Fruits.
There are also an assortment of muffins, donuts, rolls, and piccadilly pastries.

So that's a glimpse of the breakfast selection at Medley Buffet. Is it worth getting out of bed early in the day? Definitely! We can recommend it as a great option to start mornings in Manila on a good note. 

Breakfast at Medley is from 6:00AM to 10:30AM. Breakfast rates are PHP1,400 for adults and PHP700  for children.
