Choosing a place to stay is usually a challenge for any city break. However, another option that can be considered aside from hotels or Airbnb is a serviced apartment. We stayed there in February and here's what it was like.
Location
Fraser Place Manila is situated in the heart of the central business district of Makati. It is along Valero, a street lined with tall office buildings and commercial establishments. But even being in the bustling downtown, the hotel blocks out the street noise to give guests a quiet space to work and a great night's sleep.
The hotel is approximately 5.7 kilometers from the airport, 1.1 kilometers to the Buendia MRT Station, and 900 meters from the entertainment and restaurant belt of Ayala Center.
Reservation
Update: Following its closure, Fraser Place Manila is no longer appearing on the website of Frasers Hospitality. It is also no longer listed in online travel agencies like Booking.com and Hotels.com.
Check-in
We arrived at the hotel at around 3:00PM which was just in time for the standard check-in. Although it was expected to be peak hours for arrivals, the staff graciously welcomed us and assisted us with the check-in.
The check-in process was straightforward and efficient. Upon filling out the forms and placing a security deposit, we were ushered to our room on the 17th level.
Layout and Ambiance
Fraser Place Manila features 89 well-appointed apartments. The lobby is located at the ground level while the apartment units are spread throughout the 31-storey building.
The units are composed of One Bedroom Deluxe, Two-Bedroom Deluxe, Two-Bedroom Premier, and Two-Bedroom Executive.

Just like other Fraser Place properties, it exudes a clean contemporary design. It's a good balance of tasteful hotel-design and functionality.
Our Room
We stayed in a Two Bedroom Premier. The expansive unit is 180 square meters of modern, contemporary home, ideal for family holidays.
The unit has spacious living and dining areas with carefully selected furniture, wood floorings, and floor to ceiling windows.

The unit is also decked with a convenient kitchen fitted with a cooking hob, oven, hood, microwave, refrigerator, and sink. It is perfect for preparing delicious home-cooked meals. There is also an attached room with a washing machine and dryer.

Inside the Two Bedroom Premier, each bedroom is appointed with TVs and relaxing beds. The beds are complemented with comfortable pillows, fresh white sheets, high-quality duvet, bedside tables, and lampshades.

There are attached bathrooms in each bedroom and a toilet in the living area. The Master Bedroom features an indulgent en suite bathroom with a soaking tub and shower.

Breakfast
Fraser Place Manila offers complimentary set breakfast to guests. The tasty breakfast is served in a partner restaurant called Common Table. It is located at the second level of the property.

Service and Experience
Our experience at Fraser Place Manila was great and memorable. It offered a homely environment that some hotels normally don't. Staying here gave us more free space to work, cook, relax, and sleep.
The staff were friendly and helpful which also set the tone for a great stay. We recommend a stay at this serviced apartment when visiting Makati for business or leisure trips.
