Lime Hotel Boracay: Captures the Endless Summer Vibe

For first-timers, figuring out where to stay in Boracay can be time-consuming as there are more than 350 hotels and resorts accredited to operate in the island. Chances are you'll be overwhelmed in finding the right one from among many options. Ideally, you should pick a hotel that fits the location, amenities, activities, and budget you are looking for.

Station 2 is a great home base for those who want to experience the best of Boracay. It is considered as the heart of White Beach. It is where you'll find the bustling D'Mall and most bars and restaurants. It is also the perfect jump-off point to explore the rest of White Beach, to take a tour of the island's other attractions, and to engage in popular water activities.

One of the hotels that is strategically located in Station 2 is Lime Hotel Boracay. This is where we stayed when we went on our latest trip to Boracay. We absolutely loved our stay here and we highly recommend it.

Here's our review of this youthful and vibrant property.

Location
There are a lot of things that Lime Hotel Boracay can boast about, one of which is its excellent location. It is situated along the Main Road of Boracay's Station 2. The hotel is within walking distance to many points of interest like White Beach, D'Mall, D'Talipapa, and Bulabog Beach. It is also close to supermarkets, the Department of Tourism office, and the Don Ciriano Tirol Hospital.

Although the hotel is located in a busy part of the island and we were assigned a room that was facing the road, it was relatively quiet, allowing us to wind down and catch some relaxing sleep. To reach Lime Hotel Boracay, you can take any tricycle and ask to be dropped off directly at the hotel.

Reservation
Lime Hotel Boracay has its own website for reservation of rooms. It is also listed in online travel agencies like Traveloka. Since the rooms were offered at lower rates plus an additional 10% discount for BPI cardholders, we decided to book through the Traveloka mobile app. With free breakfast and WiFi, we paid PHP3,193.28 per night for a Superior Room.

Check-in
We arrived at the hotel at around 3:30PM which was already after the standard check-in time. There were no other guests so we were assisted quickly. We were then informed that we have been upgraded, gratis of course, to a Deluxe Double Room which was bigger and had a balcony. Lucky! And while filling out the forms, we were served with their signature cold Lime Juice. One sip and we were immediately brought into vacation mode and beach feel.

We were actually a bit irritated when we arrived on the island as we got soaked in the boat transfer. But Lime Hotel really knows how to welcome guests. There was no better way to restart our holiday than what they did for us during check-in. Thanks Lime Hotel!

Layout
Lime Hotel Boracay is housed in an 8-storey building with the hotel occupying five levels. From the ground level, you will have to take the side stairs to get to the hotel entrance. The lobby and reception is located at the third level. The third to eighth levels house the guest rooms. Aside from some guest rooms, the seventh level also houses the Sky Lounge Bar and the infinity pool. The second level, meanwhile, has a Chinese restaurant called Shine Boracay. This is where breakfast is served for the guests of the hotel.

Ambiance
Just like the citrus fruit it is named after, this small hotel may seem pretty ordinary but it's actually quite extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, our senses were immediately stimulated. Upon entering the lobby, we were welcomed not just by warm smiles but also with a pop of cool green, yellow, and blue hues that conjure nature and youthfulness, and a bright and summery aroma of freshly sliced lime. Our room and the rest of the hotel were also dressed in the same colors and scent.

This vibrant and youthful vibe is only further emphasized on the hotel's amazing infinity pool.

Overall, we can say that Lime Hotel Boracay has a serious endless summer ambiance.

Our Room
We stayed in a Deluxe Double Room. Visually, the room has a color palette that gives off a fun summer vibe. The tone of the flooring and ceiling plus the distribution of facilities and furnishings give it a sense of bigger space. The glass windows and doors lighten up the room and give it an airy feel.

The room is designed for functionality and comfort. It has two comfortable double beds, a private bathroom, closet, working desk, telephone, air conditioning, small refrigerator, cable TV, electronic safe, and drying rack.

The room can accommodate a maximum of 2 adults. There is an option for an extra bed and is charged at PHP1,200 per night.

Activities
All in house guests of Lime Hotel have free access to the infinity pool at the seventh level. The Sky Lounge Bar next to the pool offers a wide selection of tropical cocktails, refreshing juices, and light snacks. As the pool offers an unobstructed view of the sea and the horizon, it is the ideal place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the Boracay sun or the night sky. It is also a great vantage point in catching the famous Boracay sunset while enjoying your favorite drink.

Service and Experience
Overall, Lime Hotel Boracay is Two Juanderers recommended. It pretty much has all the things a traveler would look for in a beach hotel and more. We loved its vibrant and youthful character. The service from arrival to check-out was warm, friendly, professional, and efficient. Lime Hotel Boracay definitely captures the essence of a great summer hotel experience.
